Galatians 3:6-9
We are justified by faith, and it was at God’s own expense. The sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ, and what He did on the cross, gave us salvation. This liberates us, as believers, because our righteousness comes to us by God’s status and holiness, and not our own.
