Isaiah 9:6

““For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”
 

Happy Birthday Jesus! I can’t imagine Christmas without Christ! When I think back to when I wasn’t a Christian, it seems like another life. I lived for what excited me. I thought I was the most important person in my life. Everything centered around me, what I wanted to eat, what I wanted to drink, what I wanted to do.

At about the age of nineteen, I discovered that life was getting pretty routine. I went and acquired a great paying job that allowed me to spend a lot of my time hanging out at the beach. What a deal! I had set my course; the only problem was that I was moving full speed ahead without a compass!

I thank God that at that time, while I had become even more important to myself, He graciously interrupted my life. I had never heard the Gospel before, but when I did, I learned that the God of the universe had sent His Son, Jesus Christ into the world just for me. I had never understood the true meaning of Christmas until that day. My life changed forever. Now what I had previously wanted was gloriously replaced with what He wanted for me. Ever since that day, I have been satisfied and content to think about Him and talk about Him, the lover of my soul, the Savior of the world, more than anything else.
