Romans 8:38-39

““For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” 

The Apostle Paul goes to great lengths in this passage to comfort his readers regarding their security in Christ. For those who have come to Christ with true repentance, these verses provide assurance, hope and strength. In your own life, have you personally been persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels above or demons below, current situations, future events, nor any lofty thing can separate you from the love of God? When you grasp this powerful truth, you can spend the rest of your days on earth living and serving as an inalienable child of God, without fear and filled with confidence.

Sadly, there are far too many Christians who have been wrongly persuaded by the legalists who say, “God just might perform a spiritual abortion within His family regarding you, so you had better watch out!” These charlatans will go so far as to say, “Even if you are born again by the Spirit of God, you still run the risk of becoming ‘un-born again’ and may end up separated from God in eternity.” This is false teaching and an affront to God’s ability to save us to the uttermost.

The Bible teaches that all who are in Christ Jesus are to rejoice in the God of their salvation! His desire for you is to believe Him. He desires you to be with Him in heaven forever. Think of it, He wants you there with Him more than you want to be there.

It’s time for you to surrender to His promises and to finally allow yourself to be persuaded that He is the God who loves. He is the one who has called you to Himself and He is the One who is mighty to save!
