1 Samuel 19:1-24
Chapter nineteen opens with Saul’s intent to have David killed — most likely out of jealousy. Interestingly, Saul was not real good at keeping his wishes a big secret! And because many — including Jonathan, Saul’s son — thought highly of David, they tipped him off on Saul’s plans.
