1 Samuel 31
Weʼre now in the final chapter of this Old Testament narrative: chapter thirty one. It records the ultimate demise of King Saul as he and his sons — and others – all fell on their own swords. And when we look back at the lives of Saul and David, we see a huge contrast in how they each viewed and received and related to the God of Israel.
