CHILD OF GOD

Beloved—Paul said it, Peter said it, and so did James, John, and Jude. What did these men know beyond a shadow of a doubt? They were loved by God, and so are you. Your Heavenly Father announces that you, His child, are singled out, favored, and altogether loved by Him. 

Beloved is a term of endearment so full of tender meaning that we humans can scarcely comprehend its fullness – there is nothing quite like it.

The depth of God’s love is incomprehensible! Paul gives us a glimpse of it in Romans 8:38-39 (NLT).

“… nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Those verses, my friend, are powerful. God’s love is strong enough to take you through the hardest of trials and the strongest of temptations. It will help you stand your ground during persecution when it comes your way. 

The love of God beats back every lie of Satan that whispers God has abandoned you. Your Father counters those lies with encouragement that many need to hear today, “Child, you are forever Mine. You are beloved.” Marvel at it, rest in it, and most of all, dear saint, believe it!
