_______________________________________ NUMBERS 7:8-9
_______________________________________ “Now when Moses went into the tabernacle of meeting to speak with Him, he heard the voice of One speaking to him from above the mercy seat that was on the ark of the Testimony, from between the two cherubim; thus He spoke to him.“ Listen…did you hear that? Do you see what I just saw? The Lord spoke to Moses from the mercy seat that sat upon the Ark of the Covenant! The Lord spoke to Moses out of mercy. Whenever He speaks to us, it is out of His mercy, for He is a merciful God and we need mercy like never before. Mercy is that grace that He declares toward us rather than His righteous judgment which we so deserve. Can you hear Him speaking to you today? You may say no, but why do we find it to be such a mysterious thing that the Lord would want to express Himself to us? Please know that it is His desire to do so, which means we ought to be more in tune to listening. I am fully convinced, my friend, that He is always speaking to us, but sadly we are not prone to listening. It’s not that we don’t want to hear from Him, but we are often preoccupied with less important things.
