________________________________________________ ISAIAH 46:9-10
_________________________________________________ “Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, In the grand scheme of things, God is at work orchestrating the events of man toward a final climax. Even though this world is filled with violence and heartbreak, God is still enthroned above putting up with the antics of man. The wars we hear of and the hatred we see are neither from God’s hand nor heart, for these things God hates! But comfort comes to all of us who have decided to follow Jesus. The Lord Jesus Christ has prevailed and shall continue to, even though this world as a whole rejects Him as King. Nations continue to struggle for superiority, and economies rise and fall. The earth heaves with earthquakes, storms, and diseases. But I believe through it all it is only the Christian who can look at this disparaging world squarely in the face, and still be at peace, knowing that our God reigns! I do not know what will happen tomorrow, but I do know the One who does, and with that I can rest.
