____________________________________________ “Then God said, ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons and, for days and years…’.“ Time passes and seasons change. Long after the physical universe ceases to exist, the presence of God’s eternal faithfulness will continue. Man in all his achievements is like a vapor before the Lord and only what the Lord has prepared will last. What a comfort it is to know that our God has been unfailingly running the universe long before we were ever here! However, I would like to ask, for what reason did He create these perfectly balanced seasons of change and time itself? Was it only to have a universe to run? No, it was to show His incredible faithfulness to those who trust Him. As I consider His faithfulness to manage His creation, I am greatly impressed with how much more He desires to be faithful to you and me in all that He has promised. As seasons change and time passes, it reminds us just how faithful God is to cause Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall to repeat year after year. As each season fades into the next, they do so because of His faithfulness. The stars and moon will someday fade away, but the Word of the Lord will endure forever. My friend, please know that as certain as the changes of the season will surely happen, God will always keep His Word to you. You have a great and loving God who is deeply committed to you. His promise to protect and redeem you is a great promise and you can rest assured that He will perform all that He has said to those who trust in Him.
