______________________________________________________ “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law..“ The fruit of the Holy Spirit is love. This divine love is deposited into the life of the Christian and should be obvious by their conduct. Anyone can say that they know God, but it is the way they live that shows whether or not they have a Spirit-filled life. If the Holy Spirit owns you, you cannot be anything less than an instrument of His loving hands and feet to the world around you. There are those who speak of having a deeper knowledge of God and who have a special understanding of Him. Yet many of these types show little of the love, joy, peace and other characteristics of the fruit of the Holy Spirit that should be evident of them being born again. As I look at this passage, I am challenged to evaluate my own growth in Christ. Each year I ought to be able to look back and see that I have, in fact, grown further along in my walk than the year before. I ought to see further growth in the way I love, in the way of peace, in the way of patience and kindness, etc. So, we must pray and ask the Lord to help us to become more like Him in all that we say and do and be intentional in how we live our lives. – Pastor Jack Have you been blessed by Pastor Jack’s Devotions?
