Joel 2:31-32

“The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. And it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved. For in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there shall be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among the remnant whom the LORD calls.”

Many recreational Bible readers have concluded that the Bible is full of scary scenarios. If the story ended here with this passage, I might be tempted to agree, but I have read the entire book. Take note, however, that the Great Tribulation Period and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ is recorded as a frightening occurrence. Make no mistake about it. The earthly end-time events are terrifying if you have no understanding and hope of the coming Rapture of the Church.

How can you escape the coming judgments that are reserved for this earth? By putting your trust in Jesus today! Ask Him to forgive you of all of your sinful doings and then accept His mercy and grace. If you will come to Him today, the fiery judgments ahead hold no power over you and even hell itself will no longer be a worry to you.
