Jeremiah 31:3
“The LORD has appeared of old to me saying, ‘Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.’“
We also can say that the Lord has appeared of old to us. If you look back over the years of your life, you have to admit that God was with you all the time. You may have walked in ignorance of His love and not understood that it was the Lord who protected you from even worse troubles than you experienced. Questions may arise in your heart such as, “Where were You, God, in the midst of my pain? Do you really love me?” He answers you back by saying, “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.”
The hour has come for you to look beyond the wall of your past and to gaze upon His eternal plan for you. What has held you bound should no longer hold you as a captive. God has been preparing you for this very moment and what people have planned against you for harm, God will turn around to use for your good. He loved you then and He loves you now. Meditate on this truth. Let your past be lost with that old world and instead let your future be blessed in the eternal love of the Lord.
