 Revelation 1:17-18

“And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, ‘Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last. I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen.’”

How vast is our Jesus… the Jesus of Christianity, the Jesus of the Bible, the Jesus who is the Son of God! He is altogether The Infinite. We say that the oceans are infinite, but they can be measured. We say that the heavens are limitless, but they too can be measured. We may say that someone has unlimited wealth, but that also is untrue. Jesus is the Eternal One who cannot be measured or weighed out. He cannot be fathomed or comprehended. To measure Him would mean that He is not infinite. To explain Him fully would be to come to the end of Him and that is not possible. The infinite God is the one and only true limitless and boundless reality there is.

Jesus is forever. He never had a beginning and He shall have no end. His word and promises to us are good as long as He exists −− and He exists forever! His salvation is only as good as long as He lives −− and He is alive forevermore! For now, my heart is much too small for such a vast God, yet He never stops His pressing into me; every true child of God knows what I mean. And the best is yet to come, for Heaven will be the constant experiencing of Him: endless, limitless, infinite, Heaven.

LORD God, You are as close to me as You will ever be, for You dwell by Your Holy Spirit in my heart. Christ is in me and He is my hope of glory. Open my eyes to see Your endless, limitless, infinitude with every step I take and in every moment I live. Possess me more and more until nothing is left of me, only Thee.
