John 8:36

“Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

It has been said that freedom is the longing of every human heart. When President George W. Bush assembled a coalition and made plans to liberate Iraq in order to bring freedom to its people, he made this assumption: give those who have ruled by tyranny a chance to be free and they will take it. But as the world looked on, it soon discovered that not all are for freedom. Sadly, there are those who seek to rule over the masses through fear and torture. The truth is, not all men desire to be free.

Consider this: you can be living in the most “free” country in the world and still be in gross bondage. You can have millions of dollars and yet still be imprisoned by this world. What’s the answer to those who are in bondage and captivity? It’s Jesus Christ! You can be living under the most tyrannical government, yet experience great joy and freedom through Jesus Christ. The answer is the same for America, Russia, Liberia, and Iraq; it’s the freedom that Jesus brings to the human soul. Jesus said, “Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

Where are you today? Do you desire to be set free? If so, then help is on its way. Or do you desire to continue to live on, struggling to control and intimidate others? Sin and evil will rule you until you desire to break free from its hold. Today, Jesus Christ desires to invade your life and bring you deliverance from evil and tyranny. Call out to Jesus today-and know true freedom!
