Isaiah 43:1-3“But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel: ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.'” As surely as God keeps His promises to His people Israel, so He will keep His promises to the follower of Jesus Christ. How blessed we are that we have been grafted into such wonderful assurances by His saving grace! The Bible teaches over and over again that our God will never fail us if we put our trust in Him. What an encouraging reminder this is for us living in these last days. For if the earth should quake or the mountains were to crumble or even if the sea were to overrun its boundaries, nothing can ever loosen His grip on us. He created us, called us and we are His. It’s no wonder that He doesn’t fail to remind us that He is our Rock in time of trouble. You need not fear because He has redeemed you. God knows your name and you are His, and because you are His, you cannot pass through the waters without Him. Should you walk through the fire, He will not allow you to be burned because He is the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, and He is your Savior. Rest in His promises today.
