Isaiah 60:16b
“You shall know that I, the LORD, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.”
We need a touch from the Lord more than we think. Throughout our lives we are time and time again brought to the place of needing His work of restoration. God promises to restore you and I back to Him. He is a God who restores joy (Psalm 51:10-12), restores favor (Deuteronomy 30:1-5), restores hope (Hosea 6:1), restores liberty (1 John 1:5-9), and restores perspective (Matthew 6:33).
We can rest secure knowing what the Lord has promised will never fail. God will always perform what He has determined in His Word. As 2 Corinthians 1:20a says, “for all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen.” You and I can have complete assurance and know that He is our Savior and Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
The kind of man or woman you and I want to be is the kind of person who understands our total depravity, but rejoices over the fact that God has provided forgiveness, salvation, and restoration for the human soul. Our God is a God of restoration, and the One who can restore you!
