_______________________________________ ISAIAH 1:18-19a
_______________________________________ “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient…“ Can you say that you have felt or heard this precious invitation from God Almighty? He desires communion with you. He desires to hear from you as to what keeps you from communing honestly and openly with Him. He desires to hear what ails you. He desires to know what keeps you from giving over your life completely to Him. This is what the Lord says to each one of us. It’s a miraculous thought indeed that He cares that much about us. The very fact that you can identify a sin in your life is proof of God’s existence, for He alone is the One who convicts you of that sin. If you’re honest, you can hear Him say to you that your need for the Savior is great and that you will perish without His forgiveness. Your sins will only be forgiven if you go to Him, if you are willing to admit that you have fallen short of perfection. If you humbly call out to Him, you can know without a doubt that “He is faithful and just to forgive us of all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9) The Lord desires you to know that your salvation in Him is eternal and true. He wants you to be freed from your guilt and shame. He reaches out to you, willing to give you new life, if you are willing. What argument do you have that justifies you to not receive Him into your heart and make Him your Lord and Savior? Or if you already have trusted in Him, what stops you from believing that He desires a deep and loving relationship with you?
