Romans 10:14-15

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”

Far too many Christians have made a grave error in failing to live out this passage. The church at large often believes that telling others about Jesus Christ and the way of salvation is for full-time ministry staff. It is what spiritual extroverts are called to do. But you don’t need to be a preacher, evangelist, or Bible scholar to tell others what Jesus has done for you.

Let’s be honest. Have you ever eaten a delicious meal, found a great bargain, or done something cool and fun and told someone about it? Of course, you have. I submit to you that if God has touched your life, you have something even better to share—your testimony.

In Luke 8:39, we read Jesus’s command to a demon-possessed man who He had delivered, “Return to your own house and tell what great things God has done for you.” How about you? Is God nudging you to tell your extended family what has happened in your life regarding Jesus? They are an excellent place to start, but don’t stop there.

If just the thought of sharing the gospel with a larger audience terrifies you, ask God to bring the right person at the right time—tailor-made just for you. He will answer! And that neighbor, co-worker, or stranger will walk away blessed, and so will you.

My friend, why else are you living, and for what other reason is life important, if not to tell others about Jesus? Be willing to lay aside excuses and insecurities. God wants to use you for His glory!

Awaiting His Return,
