Romans 13:1“Let every soul be subjected to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God.”
King James of England wrote in 1611, “James, by the grace of God, king of England, Scotland, France and Ireland, defender of the faith, whereas upon the humble petition of our well disposed subjects that intended to make several plantations in America in hope thereby to advance the enlargement of the Christian faith will do so by the glory of God Almighty.” William Bradford, Governor of Plymouth Plantation said, “Lastly and chiefly the way to prosper and achieve good success is to make yourselves all of one mind for the good of the country and your own and to serve and fear God – the giver of all that is good and for every plantation which our heavenly Father hath not planted, may He root out.” And finally, His-Story continues to be written when on September 14, 2001 President George W. Bush said while quoting Romans, “We have been assured that ‘neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus.’ May He bless the souls of the departed. May He comfort our own and may He always guide our country – God bless America.” To know the history of America is to learn a lesson in the ways of God. Pastor Jack
