1 Samuel 16:14“But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and a distressing spirit from the LORD troubled him.” The antics and carnality of King Saul caused the Holy Spirit of God to seek fellowship elsewhere. This king professed with his mouth that he knew the Lord, but in the end, his life preached another message. How often do we too grieve the Lord in our actions, all the while saying how much we love Him? The Christian is the temple of the living God in this world. Jesus ordered the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer until the day He returns for the Church. May we respond to the beautiful and awesome reality that God will never leave us or forsake us by walking uprightly before the LORD. May we render to Him the honor to whom all honor is due.
