John 4:23-24“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” The Lord comes to us seeking true spiritual worship. As Christians, our worship of God is to be true and spiritual, characterized by both the bending of the knee and the breaking of the heart. It is to involve the whole man. True and acceptable worship must be in spirit. Communication between two must be done on a level of understanding or else it is meaningless to the participants. If we approach the Lord on any other level, He will not hear us. The Lord desires to meet each of us in the heart, not merely in the externals of loud voices and raised hands.
