“So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.”
The parable that Jesus taught in this portion of Scripture was to drive home a point; while we are here on the earth, we are to be busy about our Father’s business. There is no doubt that we are all busy, but what are we busy doing? Are our life pursuits worthy of being called His work? Whether you are the mother of a young child or the president of a growing company, the qualifying question is, are you doing all unto the Lord?
We serve a great and awesome God and we must remember that in order to serve Him as we ought, we need to do it with all of our being. None of our efforts that we do for Him will be forgotten. He says to us, “Do business till I come.” What exciting prospects this suggests! Jesus will return soon for His Bride, the Church, and when He does, the Bible teaches that He will reward all who serve Him.
It is my prayer that we will all be found busy about our Father’s business and be ready to meet Him unashamed.
