“But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”.
Several years ago, I had the opportunity to tour the White House in Washington, D.C. Upon arrival, I was greeted by state of the art security measures, all to ensure against any unwanted intruders. Each room I went through was graced by the presence of at least one Secret Service agent who had been assigned to the President and the protection of the house.
As I went through this beautiful and historic home, I was reminded of a greater house that has been built in heaven. This house, however, has the ultimate measures to ensure the security of all who dwell inside of it. The Bible says that no sin shall enter there and nothing will be permitted to defile it. That, my friend, is very comforting!
Do you know that there is an eternal home awaiting you that is free from all depravity and abomination? As believers, we find great relief in knowing that this world is not our final destination. The hallmark of a Christian pilgrim is that he knows he is on a journey, one that eventually leads to a place free from sin.
Two thousand years ago, God the Father sent God the Son to give us a safe passage from death to life. He has warned us that heaven is only a dream until you are made secure through the blood of Jesus Christ. If you were to pass before God today through the great security measures in eternity, would you be allowed to enter into His ultimate house? Jesus is the door that opens wide the gate and without Him, you will be left outside and cast out of His presence forever. Won’t you come today and enjoy what lies ahead for all who believe? “He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
