LONGING FOR LIBERTY
Freedom is the longing of every human heart. An enslaved man will do all that he can to gain his liberty, even to the point of shedding his blood. Yet the Bible declares that there is only one Man’s blood that liberates mankind, frees us from the ultimate enslavement – that of sin and its awful consequences.
It is the precious blood of Jesus Christ that has given us the greatest liberty of all, and with it, the freedom to live in a whole new way.
LIBERTY’S CHOICES
Christian liberty presents us with
opportunities and choices every day.
In our liberty, we can feed our fleshly appetites to the detriment of others or, in love, choose to serve one another. Why choose the way of love? Because our Savior did.
OUR LIBERATOR LEADS THE WAY
The God who set us free is the One who stooped to serve. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Mark 10:45)
No greater example did Christ leave us than to be actively and practically serving one another in this life. It is the grandest expression of our freedom that a soul can know.
May each of us, in our blood bought liberty, choose to serve one another.
