Hebrews 12:14

“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.’”

At one time or another, we have all been invited to some celebration or event that required certain attire. Such affairs have a standard or dress code, if you will, that announces that you are an invited guest and that you have prepared yourself for the event.

Heaven also has required attire that shall announce you’ve been invited there and have prepared yourself for the grand gala, so to speak. In the book of Revelation, the Scripture graphically describes what will be the proper and acceptable “threads” that the Church will be wearing in heaven. “And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.” – Revelation 19:8

The “righteous acts of the saints” is another way of saying that they shall be clothed with holiness. Jesus actually imparts His holiness to all who trust in Him. This consecration is what prepares His children for the Great Day that is coming. Because He has given us His holiness, we can now be godly in our manner of living and thus we are acceptable to Him.

Are you living a consecrated and holy life dedicated to God? Is it evident by what you say, what you watch, and how you think? Holiness is a way of life to those who have been dressed for heaven. Are you outfitted for heaven? Is what you’re wearing in your thoughts, desires and passions fashionable to God? If not, then it’s time to get “dressed” for heaven by putting off the desires of the flesh and putting on the things of Christ. (Ephesians 4:22-24)
