Isaiah 55:6-9

“Seek the Lord while He may be found, call upon Him while He is near. Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon. ‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,’ says the Lord. ‘For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.”

In these last days there is great need for repentance and returning to the Lord. God longs to restore us to fellowship and bids His children to seek His face and call upon Him while He is near. He desires His people to turn from their waywardness and fully surrender to Him.

His forgiveness is always available, but we must come to Him with a repentant heart, seeking His will not our own. Repentance is turning from our own ways and fully following after God’s way. Although we cannot completely know and understand all of God’s plans, we do know that His ways are greater than ours and His thoughts are far above what we could ask or think.

My prayer for you and me is that we would desire to walk with God and that we would seek His will for our lives. May we see God’s abundant mercy in our lives more and more each day.
